The Bible Clearly Says (Podcast Episode 34)

We’ve said it before, but if you try hard enough, you can get the bible to say whatever you want it to. Whatever your agenda, you can probably find some bible verses to back your argument up?

This begs the question: what does the bible actually say? What does God intended for us to understand from his word? Certainly not simply a reiteration of our own agendas.

So this week on the podcast, we talk about how to interpret the bible–a field of study called hermeneutics. We discuss the different approaches to hermeneutics, and we give you some practical tips for when you sense that someone might be using a bible verse out of context.
